In November 2023 I started working at a small single-screen cinema in the area. The work consists of preparing the room, printing the tickets, starting the film from the screening room and then tidying up the room once the shift is over.

During the pandemic period I decided to undertake this career path mainly to occupy my time, alternating it with my studies. The work consisted of collecting orders placed by customers via apps from restaurants and bars in the surroundings of Varese and Gavirate and then delivering them to the latter. Although short, it was a learning experience that taught me to:

• manage the time available and organize your tasks as best as possible
• relate to the customer and the workers of the various activities
• face a work policy that demands the utmost seriousness and punctuality

During the summer break from my studies I started working for the first time as an assistant chef in a bar/restaurant with a swimming pool and green area. During summer a summer camp was organized which welcomed around a hundred children. In addition to preparing hot and cold dishes for the bar customers, the most challenging task was preparing meals for the children. Even though I was hired as an assistant, I soon became an integral part of the team. Although short, my experience was very educational as it taught me:

• how to manage food supplies and plan shopping for the following days without falling into waste or excess
• knowing how to manage preparation times and relate to a team that must be as synergistic as possible
• manage and satisfy customer needs in the best way
