While working as a Social Educator, I was able to communicate and resolve issues with people, including those with psychiatric conditions. Being a special needs or assistance assistant, I helped clients with their daily routines and basic autonomy as well as bureaucracy forms. This taught me how to communicate with a range of people, including clients and social workers, depending on the circumstances.
I also learned how to design programs and supervise their execution to foster the integration of the client into society and develop them. In order to assist, I set goals together with clients and followed up their achievement as well as learned how to modify the plans when necessary. This placed me in a position to perform across the spectrum- in solo and group settings, looking after about twenty clients whilst guaranteeing quality care.
Besides my employment of a Social Educator, I worked as a Waiter and Receptionist. This allowed me to understand and appreciate clients better. These jobs enabled me to improve my customer services by allowing me to properly attend to customers and understand their problems. I was able to provide superb service whether delivering food or working at the reception desk by staying relaxed, focused, and professional at all times.
I provided support to psychiatric patients in a home environment, assisting them with daily activities as well as more complex tasks, such as managing bureaucracy, overseeing household responsibilities, and fostering personal autonomy. My clients ranged across all age groups, with goals collaboratively established alongside the assigned social worker. Using my weekly reports, the social worker would adjust the objectives with my input to ensure progress. I worked both independently and within a team, delivering care to approximately 20 patients.
