Compass Group is a global leader in contract catering & food services with a turnover of USD 30B and over 100,000 employees. Compass at Google was a
new company within the group created to retain, expand and manage the business with Google their most prominent and profitable client. During my tenure as EMEA COO, led a team of 900 talents in 15 countries with full P&L accountability (above 200MGBP). Head of an organization producing 50,000 daily meals in 60 venues and delivering over 3,500 yearly events. Key partner to the Google Client Team for strategy definition, program development, financial management, opening new businesses, and defining a culture of innovation & excellence in service and experience. Led a multi country cross functional teams of operators and subject master experts, such as business excellence, human resources, finance, marketing, procurement, and both workplace and food safety. Set the operational excellence standard for all of operations and systems. Owned and monitor P&L and all other financial tasks.

Starwood was one of the leading player in the hospitality industry operating over 1,400 hotels with brands such a Sheraton, Le Meridien, St.Regis, Westin and W Hotels. As the right hand of the Region CEO, delivered business improvement and innovation initiatives resulting in profit generation of 1M EUR yearly. Led and coach a team of 11 Operational Excellence managers across 62 hotels located in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Malta and the Balkans. Provided support to hotels on Guest Experience, Brand Standards Compliance, implementation & roll out of global initiatives. Closely work with Regional Vice President, Regional Directors and General Managers on initiatives to improve profits, associate satisfactions and organizational effectiveness. Executed Operational Reviews in Rooms, Food & Beverage, and developed action plans to improve corporate and regional KPI's. Trained and mentored opex associates across the region, helped select prioritize high impact projects & initiatives.
Accomplishments
Provided senior-level financial planning, risk management, contract execution, and financial reporting for all major capital investments at the company's owned and leased hotels within the division. Performed all preliminary work required for project approval including, financial modelling & ROI. Led some of the most important asset management initiatives such as the full renovations of the Luxury Collection Maria Cristina in San Sebastian, the Alfonso XIII in Sevilla, the Gritti Palace in Venice and the Grand Hotel in Florence rebranded into a St. Regis, which involved over $100M capex. Supervised all aspects of approved projects, closely monitoring expenses, selecting bidders, coordinating consultants and stakeholders, reviewing contracts, and preparing monthly status reports. Managed to create a solid network within the luxury designers, investors and operators. Hold full authority for creating annual capital plan detailing anticipated projects. Assisted with special projects as requested.
