The assignment includes overseeing all aspects of daily operations, ensuring smooth running of the organisation, with a very high degree of autonomy from the HQ.

The complicated geopolitical framework in which the company operates posed significant challenges, including the hard stop to substantial shares of sales due to political decisions, faced and solved with some success.

Taking care of complex corporate operations, organising and overseeing all the relevant actions.

Among the most relevant:

• Managed the legal support to a bank merger, including the assistance in the relation with governmental bodies.
• Provided legal and tax expertise in the execution of a contract for the installation of an oil well at sea.

Reporting to CEO Edizione Property.

The assignment started with the incorporation of the company as a spin-off from Benetton Russia.

It included the management of a real estate fund estimated 70+ M EUR with an in-deep supervision of all the functions of the Russian office, establishing positive and highly productive staff relationship dynamics.

The activity extended to Kazakhstan and Ukraine, in a governance regime with a very high level of autonomy within the boundaries of a budget and a strategic plan drafted in cooperation with the Headquarter.

In recent years the commitment was focused on the sale of a consistent part of the assets and lately in managing solutions for the problems arising in a critical geopolitical context.

Reporting to the CFO.

The main task consisted in the reset of the company in all of its functions after the takeover, restructuring the processes, establishing a positive work environment which promoted staff morale and productivity and implementing a new system of control and communications, all in a challenging geopolitical environment.

Managed the execution, from the start-up to the completion, of a landscape project in the framework of the realisation of the work of an internationally renowned architect.

Construction Company, privately held, operating in the high-end market segment.

Main responsibilities also included, on behalf of a Joint Venture with a leading Italian construction company, the negotiation of a PPP Agreement for the Design, Build and Operate contract of a hospital in Saint Petersburg up to the signing and for a series of road overpasses in the Moscow Region, as well as the participation to tenders for the Moscow metro and other infrastructure projects.

Codest was one of the largest Italian building enterprises in Russia. Main responsibilities included structuring the business and applying the best global practices to the local environment, reporting directly to Company’s Owners.

Main activities were focused on the development of new projects, among which the realisation of a ski resort in the Caucasus.

Belonging to Benetton Group, OOO Benetton Russia controlled all the retail activity (directly performed and through more than 80 independent dealers), as well as the Property and Facility management of over twenty stores located in CIS Countries.

Main responsibilities included setting up and managing a subsidiary, with all company functions, and their matricidal coordination with the corresponding HQ counterparts, including, HR, Legal, Tax, Finance and Accounting functions, reporting directly to Group CEO.

The largest Italian law Firm in Russia (www.pavia-ansaldo.it). Russian subsidiary annual turnover of over € 2.5M.

Managed to maintain both revenues and EBIT at the same level during market downturns in 2008-9.

• Advised a leading construction company on an EPC contract valued $ 100M with a major real estate Russian developer.
• Acted for an international fashion group in establishing a subsidiary in Russia and in managing a real estate commercial portfolio valued € 120M.
• Advised an international energy group on EPC contracts with Russian major corporations.
• Advised a major Russian company on international tax planning issues.
