I worked for a month in the emergency department and for a week in the urology department. In the emergency and in the urology department I have been assigned to a doctor and I learnt how to deal with patients and their relatives as well as performing basic investigations such as inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation and blood collections.

I have experienced the emergency department in one of the main hospitals of my home city during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have learnt from nurses how to perform venous and arterial blood collection, insertion of urinary catheters and in general learnt how to help patients from a medical and human point of view. Furthermore I have reviewed patients past medical records and recent status through blood test, x-rays and other investigations with the doctor I have been assigned to.
