Chosen for a highly selective and prestigious training contract with the international law firm, Ashurst. This decision was made by the firm following a week-long internship where strong legal research and drafting skills were demonstrated.

Recipient of full funding award for legal education as well as a maintenance grant.

Training contract to commence in September 2026.

Responsible for managing a proposal for the acquisition of a significant media entity valued at over £100 million.

Delivered a number of pitches to high-value investors, proving presentation skills and eloquence.

Discretion was a central element of this role, including managing the protection of highly privileged information.

Worked closely with Recorder Deal, gaining insight into the legal system. This experience deepened understanding of courtroom dynamics, litigation procedures, and effective advocacy.

Reviewed complex case bundles, identifying crucial elements within extensive legal documentation and conducted real-time research on legal precedents.

Leading a team of seven researchers in data-driven legal research on social mobility at the UK Bar.

This research aims to inform policy recommendations and create clear materials explaining the rationale behind the recommendations.

Conducted qualitative research for a programme focused on the criminal justice system and homeless populations in Scotland. This program was sponsored by the NHS and the Scottish Government.

Produced a clear and concise report which was then provided to the Scottish Government and other stakeholders.

The central responsibility was to research and prepare policy papers for Members of Parliament.

Further, became instrumental in the formation of an internal Party lobby group, and went on to publicly address the group at a political Party Conference.

Notably, it was the excellent performance in this role which left an impression on a group of high-net-worth party donors, which led to the offer of the role of project manager for the acquisition of a significant media entity.
