    My responsibilities also included being a cashier, as it was a candy bar. We stocked various American candies, fudge, truffles, and various homemade treats. We also made our own sweets and pastries, assisting our pastry chef.
    Then, closer to July, I was assigned to the ice cream counter (it was all in one building, but ice cream and coffee sales took place outside the window). I took orders and scooped ice cream for guests, made milkshakes, dipped cones in chocolate, and decorated them with peanuts and sprinkles for guests.
    I was transferred to this department because we started selling coffee drinks in July, and because
    I was the only one with experience among my colleagues; I was the senior barista and taught foreign colleagues in English about coffee inversions. For this, the manager gave me more hours and bonuses for helping with the opening and training.

  • This was my first experience in the coffee business. I got it in Russia, in St. Petersburg. It was a famous coffee chain that sold original donuts, as well as coffee, soft drinks, and other beverages.
    Our responsibilities included opening the coffee shop, preparing inventory and cleaning, and stocking the donuts on display. And, of course, taking customer orders with a smile, preparing coffee drinks, teas, milkshakes, and soft drinks, and serving them to guests.
    At first, I worked in the main coffee shop, but then I was transferred to the food court because there was more traffic there and they needed to expand the staff there. Despite being new to the business, I quickly adapted and earned the trust of the senior baristas and managers.

    Also, in the bartender's absence, I made cocktails for him and, among my servers, managed a large cash register, which soon earned me a promotion to senior waiter. This was my first experience in the food service industry, and I really enjoyed it and gained a lot of experience.

My hobby is latte art. I've been doing it for almost two years now, learning to draw all sorts of animals, both mythical and mundane, from hares to lions. In my free time, I brew my own aero press and funnels using filters and a hand grinder. I can't imagine my life without coffee, even though I'm studying cosmetology.
