As a native of the Amalfi Coast, southern Italy, growing up I used to spend my summers working in the hospitality industry, honing strong interpersonal skills, where a friendly, kind, hearty and helpful attitude towards tourists were always at the core of my every behaviour. Being my mother from South America, I lived part of my childhood in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, where I learnt to speak Spanish fluently, and the seeds of my later-to-be cosmopolitan spirit were firstly sown in my heart. As I reached 21 one years of age, I found out to be deeply fond of English, a language that I later mastered up to a mother-tongue level (C2 according to the European frameworks), and which still today I keep improving and which keeps astonishing me because of its vast and inexhaustible linguistic richness. I am currently living in Turin, north of Italy, where I work for the prestigious chain MINOR HOTELS (to be exact I work for the NH TORINO CENTRO, NH HOTELS now being part of a larger chain which is the Asian MINOR). I am willing to move to London If I am there offered a suitable and enticing position.
As a Front Office Agent in NH TORINO CENTRO, I perform a very wide range of work duties: check-in and check-out operations; monitor guests stay to ensure that all their needs are met and that the hightest quality standards are satisfied; handling complaints; mail management; check that all bookings are in order; conduct daily cash reconciliation. Given the high number of rooms the Hotel has, 182 in total, the workload is often heavy, challenging me to be able to handle a great amount of pressure and perform more than one tasks at the same time. Despite all this, I never neglect courtesy rules and and I never cease to be welcoming, caring and helpful towards all guests.
As a Front office Agent at the Eden Roc hotel in Positano, qualified as a 4-star facility, my main duties involved: welcoming guests; check-in operations; handling customer requests and any complaints. In addition, although not continuously, I also dealt with payments and check-outs. Given that most guests were either Americans, British or Australians, a masterful, fluent, and versatile use of the English language, both written and spoken, has proven itself essential to perform any of my daily tasks.
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.
If so requested I can produce proof of the certificate.
