Elio Mauro

I am a professional musician (primarily passionate about classical music, jazz, and improvised music), composer, teacher, and a second-year master's student in jazz guitar at the Siena Jazz Association – National Jazz Academy of Siena (SI). I play guitar and piano. As a musician, I am interested in exploring the relationship between composition and improvisation, sound research (both with acoustic instruments and electronic devices), and developing personal maturity in the field of improvised music.

As a teacher, my priority is to help students recognize and clarify their needs based on their aspirations and their own musical vision. Furthermore, as a teacher and educator (especially for younger students), it is essential to foster a healthy perspective on creative activities, based on personal freedom of expression and genuine passion for the subject.
