Responsibilities:

• Engaged in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and audit procedures, overseeing the preparation of monthly P&L reporting packages, and leading comparative assessments of budgets versus actual performance in collaboration with department heads.
• Took active role in formulation of annual budget, quarterly forecasting process, and creation of comprehensive 5-year financial business plan for entire EMEA region. This involved gathering inputs from department heads, challenging key assumptions, and conducting rigorous analysis of historical trends.
• Conducted thorough analysis of customer and product profitability, contributing to pricing strategies and investment decision-making.
• Collaborated closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate monthly SG&A accrual calculations and allocations, end-of-year reconciliations, and smooth audit processes.
• Calculated monthly and quarterly bonuses and sales commissions, ensuring thorough approval processes and seamless payroll submissions.
• Meticulously reconciled transactions through data comparison and correction.

Achievements:

• Devised Power BI report encompassing all channel markets countries, designed to monitor revenue performance coming from price increases.
• Created another Power BI report focusing on LATAM channel markets countries, facilitating tracking of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and trends in outstanding invoices.
• Took a pivotal role as the main point of contact in redefining financial data sourcing. This involved allocating values at the appropriate country-customer-product levels, ensuring meticulous and granular analytics, and providing a dependable database for the creation of a new fiscal-year financial report package in Tableau.
• Constructed an MS Excel model leveraging Power Query to generate an initial financial reporting package within the first five days of each month. This initiative supplied swift insights for department heads and established an initial guideline for the FP&A department, which was responsible for the consolidated financial reporting package.

In the Finance and Control department of the hotel establishment, I served as a financial controller. My role encompassed a range of primary administrative responsibilities, including financial controlling and reporting, complete payroll processing for human resources, tax preparation and payments, ITA GAAP financial statement reporting in collaboration with CPA advisors, as well as overseeing accounting and treasury functions while providing coordination and support to the accounting and administrative departments.

In addition to these regular duties, I took charge of crafting the long-term Profit and Loss and cash flow business plan during a challenging market and financial period precipitated by the Covid-19 pandemic. This plan was designed to reinforce short-term liquidity, facilitate funding for strategic investment decisions, and ensure debt sustainability. Furthermore, I played an active role in projects aimed at digitalizing company processes, which encompassed the development of Business Intelligence reporting tools and the successful implementation of a new ERP system
