ERICA BOTTES

Currently in the fifth year of pediatrics residency. Over the course of these 5 years I have attended numerous pediatric departments and clinics for few months, including infectious diseases, nephrology, gastroenterology, pneumology, hematology, oncology, allergology. During the fourth year of specialization I chose to spend 6 months in the Emergency Room Department and 6 months in Neonatology. Over the course of this last year I will attend various clinics: family paediatrics, neuropsychiatry, dermatology and Emergency Room Department.

Abroad: 

- At 19 years old I took part in a volunteering project at Kelle, in Senegal, with "I bambini di Ornella" Association where I worked in an Assistance Center for abandoned children. 

- At 23 years old I did a student internship in a pediatric department in Arusha, Tanzania, for 1 month.

In Italy: 

- During my university years I worked as a volunteer in ABIO (association for children in hospital) for 3 years in the child neuropsychiatry department and 3 years with children with tumors. 

- Travelling, especially to learn about new cultures and explore wild places. I have been to Africa three times (Senegal and Tanzania), to Australia (Brisbane), and to South America twice (Argentina and Bolivia).

- Trekking, climbing and skiing. 

- Music, playing piano.
