Presently, I find myself immersed in the experience of Erasmus mobility program in Italy. As part of this journey, I am taking examinations in Italian language and I am actively engaging with the academic curriculum. Furthermore, I was seamlessly integrating within the medical teams from the numerous departments where I have made practical trainings, such as Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, General Surgery, Neurology, Pediatrics, Urology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Geriatrics and Plastic Surgery.

In the total of 200 hours spent in this department under the supervision of Prof. Mario Bussi M.D., I have observed a multitude of surgeries and interventions, such as cochlear implant, septoplasty, septorhinoplasty, biopsy of cervical mass, partial glossectomy and excision of thyroid adenoma. Moreover, I have actively participated in pre and post-operative care, anamnesis, physical examinations and interpretations of audiograms.

I have actively participated in anamnesis, physical examinations and in ECG interpretations of different pathologies, gathering a total of 200 hours in this department, under the supervision of Giuseppe D'Angelo M.D. In addition, I have observed a variety of surgeries, such as implantations of pacemakers and defibrillators, radiofrequency ablations for atrial fibrillation or atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia, but also I have seen multiple check-ups at patients with pacemakers and defibrillators.

During the 160 hours under the supervision of Mihaela Anton M.D. in my Endocrinology traineeship, I had the opportunity to observe and engage with a spectrum of pathologies ranging from metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus to hormonal imbalances including thyroid dysfunction and adrenal insufficiencies. Also, I have had the privilege of witnessing numerous thyroid biopsies and thyroid echographies, thereby gaining invaluable hands-on experience in diagnostic procedures within the realm of thyroid pathology.

During my immersive Cardiology traineeship of 160 hours under the supervision of Ionut Axinte, M.D., I diligently conducted comprehensive patient assessments, digging into detailed medical histories, performing thorough physical examinations, and adeptly interpreting electrocardiograms. I consistently engaged in the tasks of measuring blood pressure, positioning electrodes for ECGs and in heart auscultations, all while enriching my understanding of cardiovascular medicine.

Amidst the challenging pandemic, my inaugural traineeship unfolded within a family medicine office, an experience that proved profoundly formative. Here, within 160 hours, under the supervision of Irina Chiruta, M.D., I cultivated essential skills, from the art of compassionate patient communication to the intricacies of conducting comprehensive medical histories and executing complete physical examinations. With each encounter, I learned the nuances of measuring blood pressure, performing cardiac and pulmonary auscultations, while simultaneously gaining insight into the intricate workings of the medical system, beginning from its frontline, primary care services.
