- As NPDR&D Manager, I'm accountable for the development of the Next Generation Perfusion Data Management platform.
- In this role I’m coordinating the R&D development team that includes both internal and external resources from various regions (Canada, Germany, Romania, Armenia, India and Italy).
- As R&D Manager I'm responsible for the improvement of the SW development process; I've contributed to introduce in LivaNova the Scrum framework ensuring NP projects to be released as per schedule with the expected contents, and with the adequate SW quality.
- Also the Software Quality Assurance team (Testers) reports directly to me.
- I've developed metrics for reporting to upper management applied problem solving methods (e.g. 6 sigma walkarounds).
- I'm responsible for the product definition (Requirements and User Stories) for the Risk Management, Human Factor and Cybersecurity streams.
- I'm taking care of the growth of the team members that report to me, by identifying individual career trajectory for anyone of my team member.
- I also lead the coordination with the Accompanying current external partner.
- I'm still responsible also for the sustaining activities related to the predicate device, Sorin CONNECT.

- Since May 2016 I have been appointed as Project Manager of the Sorin CONNECT SW.
- In this role I’m responsible for all the projects of the SW Sorin CONNECT in terms of scope, time, quality, and compliance with standard.
- As PMI I’m actively working to:
- Clear communicate between all the stakeholders
- Scope of each SW release
- Provide support to definition of the business case
- Define plan for worldwide submission
- Define project plan including project risks
- Creating WBS for project estimate and planning
- Manage the change requests
- Support the R&D functional team for resource allocation over several projects that are managed in parallel
- Coordinating the communication and the definition of milestones with the external suppliers
- Monitoring the status of the development according to the Design Control procedure, Software Development Procedure, Risk Management and Usability
- Responsible for the communication to the upper management about the status, the risks and the next step of the projects.
- In particular the scope of the SW currently in development is related to a new functionality that will allow Sorin CONNECT to be able to communicate with the Hospital Information System via HL7 protocol.
- In this project I’m leading continuous improvement of quality standard by enabling compliance with standards, coordinating the definition of the list of documents for certificate (e.g. 510(k), CEMark) and their creation, introducing new process for SW anomalies management, introducing design inspection, enhancing test methodologies, and improving the application of the overall lifecycle model. This activity results in creation of new templates, new procedures and enhancement of existing ones.
- I’m also leading the compliance with Design Control procedure, Risk management procedure and Usability and Human factor procedure.

- Since November 2015 I have been appointed as Project Leader for the design of the Datapad III, the medical device geared with Sorin CONNECT.
- The redesign has been triggered by new Regulation Requirements and by obsolescence of internal components; this activity led a multifunction team (R&D, RA, QA, FS, MFG, MKTG) including external supplier to compliant with medical devices, with the goal to complete the redesign according to the agreed plan, including the creation of a dedicated DHF set in order to allow worldwide submission of this device and to qualify the device as medical grade.
- The project has been successful, concluded in June 2017 according to the scheduling.
- The project has successfully found on time, submitted FDA for a 510(k) clearance.
- The project has recently (October 2017) successfully passed the TUV audit related to Design Control and Design Change.

SOCIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCE
- I have been taking part in associations for 25 years (since I was 15 years old till now), both religious and social one.
- Coming in contact with people belonging to various social classes, I developed great attitude to interaction, establishing a great feeling with everybody, trying to find out new person I work with, and helping anybody do his best.
- This attitude allowed me to cover roles of increasing importance in these associations, as secretary, vice-president and president.
ORGANISABIONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCE
- During my life I always tried to do various activities. When I was at the college I started being active in associations (Asso Giovani, Associazione Porta dell’Etna, Azione Cattolica settore Giovani) both religious and social. This participation went on even during university and then while working. The greatest challenge I faced was to combine good school and University results and the effort required for the various activities (the association of articles on papers, organization of outdoor activities, organization of meetings, shows etc.). This allowed me to improve my capability of managing my time and especially the method of the activity of the other people I worked with (both in the association and in work).
- This allowed me to reach planned goals and win good outcomes.
- I wrote for two local papers, “Vulcan” and “Idee” and “Il Dialogo”, I have organized many public meetings on scientific and social matters, and several editions of photograph shows.

I like to read and write, in particular I wrote for some local papers. I like to write poetry. I’m passionate about photography. I’m passionate for travelling.
