• Contributes to establishing a Purchasing Vision, enhancing Strategic Procurement, foster long-term Supplier Partnerships and build up a Benchmark Database that focuses on Non-Ferrous Metals (mainly copper and aluminium)
• Drives spend analysis and management actions
• Enforces the deployment of Framework Agreements for key suppliers and leads negotiations for strategic purchases
• Analyzes the market (customers, suppliers, competitors) to identify macro-trends and cost driving factors
• Defines the Sourcing Strategy / Implements Market Allocation to reduce supply risk and avoid monopoly situations
• Coordinates the Supplier Qualification Process (including audit and credit lines assessment)
• Defines the category management approach (local/corporate, long-term/opportunistic, partner/preferred supplier, market share, ABC, XYZ)
• Strong link with other departments (Supply chain, R&D, Finance, Sales, Marketing and so on)
• Supervising Tolling flows and compliance with supply contracts
• Attends trade fairs and exhibitions

• Managing the Hedging Process for Copper and Aluminium rod/wires and conductors; EOM reconciliations
• Negotiating prices and supply contracts
• Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers; Creating reports on costs and cost reduction activities;
• Acting as a bridge between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities;
• Ensuring compliance to Company Guidelines, Purchasing Policies and other Procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process;
• Assessing supplier management and contributing to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance
