As a static geomodeler, I developed a working knowledge of the different disciplines to generate static models that are likely to history match after sent to the simulator. To fully characterize a reservoir (or the subsurface in general), I am an integrator of different disciplines and data sources, including, but not limited to: geology, sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy, structural geology, seismic data, material balance and production and pressure data, operational limitations for complex well design.

As a static modeler, expected hurdles in project execution involve the following, just to name a few:

• Data loading and QCing of input for static modelling.
• Geobody interpretation of geological features from seismic information.
• Effective use of analog data to constraint model or provide alternative flow pathways to different pressure compartments.
• Definition of meaningful variograms based on depositional settings to allow for facies transition,
• Generation of multiple families of models to assess subsurface uncertainty using both stochastic and deterministic methods of propagation of facies and petrophysical properties.
• Structural and fracture regime model integration to facies models to establish highways or baffles to flow.
• Following of SEC guidelines to establish P10, P50 and P90 scenarios. Equivalency for resilience to Climate Change. TBD.
