During this time I have worked on two different vessels within the company. The vessels are named Midas and Mimer. Mimer is time chartered by CMA CGM and is operating on a liner traffic in the Caribbean. The tasks onboard where to keep bridge watch when the vessel was at sea and to keep the ECDIS and publications up to date. I was also in charge of making the route and voyage plans for the upcoming ports. I also had to make sure that the LSA equipment onboard was in good condition by doing weekly and monthly rounds. During port stays the tasks where to supervise the cargo operation.

At the moment I work on a ROPAX vessel called Finbo Cargo, which is operating on a liner traffic between Helsinki (Finland) and Muuga (Estonia). My tasks onboard is watchkeeping on the bridge and loading on the car decks. There are three watchkeeping officers onboard so the tasks varies a little bit depending which watch you are on. The tasks can be keeping the LSA equipment in order, keeping the ECDIS, GMDSS equipment and publications up to date. To the officers tasks also includes to do the familiarization round for new crew members and to carry out the weekly drills for the crew.

Worked on a RoRo vessel called Midas, which was chartered by a Swedish company called Transprocon. The cargo that we transported was miliary cargoes around Europe. My tasks onboard where to keep bridge watch when the vessel was at sea and to keep the ECDIS and publications up to date. I was also in charge of making the route and voyage plans for the upcoming ports. I also had to make sure that the LSA equipment onboard was in good condition by doing weekly and monthly rounds.

I worked on a vessel called Laura, which was on a route between Tornio (Finland) and Terneuzen (Netherlands). The cargo that we transported was steel coils, containers and some general cargo. My tasks onboard was watchkeeping on the bridge, keeping the LSA equipment in order and to update the charts/publications onboard.

I worked onboard a RoRo vessel called Misana, which is owned by a company called Godby Shipping. The vessel is time chartered by a company called Sea Cargo and trades between Netherlands and Norway. The tasks onboard where watchkeeping on deck and upon the bridge during night time. During daytime the deck crew assisted with the cargo operation and did some maintenance work around the ship. During the time onboard the ship also went for drydocking to Landskrona in Sweden.

During the time I was studying I worked onboard a RoPax vessel called Finbo Cargo. The vessel is in liner traffic between Finland and Estonia. I worked there mostly as an OS, but also a little bit as an AB and deck repairman. The tasks onboard were watchkeeping on deck and upon the bridge during night time. During time in port, I assisted with cargo operations. During daytime we also did maintenance on deck.

My summer job 2018. My job was to drive goods to stores in Helsinki.
