I am just getting my feet wet again artistically. I am a bit green in regards to most aspects of pursuing art as a career. I am a very driven and creative individual, and am no loner stifling my wild energy and letting go of unecessary fears and insecurities. The freedom I am finding in being myself is indescribable! am current working on establishing my own practice. I make art every single day, and have ideas constantly moving through me. This the best place I have ever been physically, mentally, spiritually and artistically. I know very little about writing grants, residencies, building a portfolio, even an artist statement, but I can wait to learn. I have never been more passionate and hungry for growth in my life.

I was awarded The Gilman Scholarship in 2022, now I am part of an ongoing social network with other scholars, helping to advise students in the application process. This scholarship made my first trip abroad financially possible, and changed my life.
