As a dedicated geology student specializing in structural geology and geophysics, I have undertaken a comprehensive thesis project to deepen the understanding of the Earth's dynamic processes. In the first thesis, it has been examined the deformation history and structural features within specific geological contexts, employing rigorous fieldwork and advanced laboratory techniques to unravel the complexities of faulting and strain distribution. For the current thesis I'm writing, geophysics has been added to structural geology, leveraging cutting-edge techniques such as GPR and DAS to probe the subsurface structures and properties. Through the integration of geological principles with sophisticated geophysical methodologies, my research aims to contribute invaluable insights into paleosismology and, in some ways, it can be very useful for resource exploration, hazard assessment, and environmental management.
