  • Synthesis and characterization of gold nanoparticles for drug delivery and imaging for the tumour care (PAT-NANOSMART research project).
  • Synthesis and functionalization of metallic nanoparticles for plasmonic applications; Application of metallic nanoparticles material for photonic application; development of engineered surface for SERS;
  • Surface functionalization of carbon nanotubes for sensing applications NATO project network concerning XPS analysis of samples based on gold and platinum nanoparticles embedded in carbon matrix for toxic gas sensors applications;
  • Development of highly efficient dye based carbon quantum dots; Manipulation and functionalization of carbon nanotubes to produce carbon quantum dots having high quantum efficiency;
  • Simple-plasma and combinatorial deposition of carbon based thin films for biomedical application: (cell-adhesive/non-adhesive surfaces non-fouling surfaces, functionalized surfaces for DNA-RNA separation (MicroComb PAT project));
  • The work on includes: Assembling the combinatorial plasma reactor and its automatization; Combinatorial plasma design and deposition on different kinds of substrates.
