Nurses in the department are required to plan and implement the patient's care, using assessment scales (such as Braden, BRASS, Morse, MUST, Conley, Diva score), best practices and the valuable work of a multi-professional team. We are supposed to perform accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards. Moreover we are required to promote a safe and comfortable healing environment by addressing patient concerns promptly and professionally.
The infectious diseases department does not treat patients with high care complexity, but we are well prepared to manage septic patients and those at risk of septic and anaphylactic shock.
We are required to work shifts, including nights and to remain calm during high-stress, critical situations, demonstrating sustained focus and problem-solving in real-time. We have patients on disease management, self-care techniques, and wellness strategies to improve long-term health outcomes.
