I graduated on the 19th of July in medical biotechnologies at the Università del Piemonte Orientale (Novara, Italy). During the past two years, I focused my studies on molecular basis of diseases, especially in genetics, immunology and oncologic fields. During my master’s degree studies I had the opportunity to do a second experimental thesis at the laboratory of Molecular Virology in UPO-CAAD (Centre for Autoimmune and Allergic Diseases of the Università del Piemonte Orientale) on ifi-16 protein (The discovery of the PYRIN domain's role in IFI16-TLR4 interaction unveils a new category of endogenous inflammatory molecules). I also had the opportunity to follow the other project of the laboratory where I worked which let me deepen my knowledge of senescence.
My laboratory skills include proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, real-time PCR, DNA extraction from bacterial culture, protein purification, Western blot, gel electrophoresis, virus production and infection, plaque assay, ELISA assay, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry. I have experience with cell cultures and vitality assay.
