Mariafrancesca Forquet

I am 22 Year old, 5th year Italian medicine student.

I have always been interested in studying medicine, and always knew I wanted to be a surgeon.

In the recent years I have been in many surgery units including cardiothoracic, urologic, pancreatic, gastric and most recently hepatobiliary surgery. But also other deperatments such as internal medicine, neurology (stroke unit), cardiology, hemodynamics, gynecology and obstetrics, gastroenterology.

During these experiences I found my self most interested in being in the OR.

Thanks to my calm and reflecting attitude I manage to give the right answer when asked practical questions and I also find myself to be very fast thinking in critical situation, without allowing fear to take over.

I enjoy applying and actually observing my anatomical textbook knowledge on actual patients.

I look forward to acquire new experience in departments I have yet not been assigned to.
