Summary

Delighted at the prospect of growing my career with the Bank of Valletta, I am writing to apply for the Procurement vacancy.

My twenty-three years of experience in different departments, as evidenced by the positions outlined below, allowed me to work with highly talented teams in an exciting industry. I look forward to reaching new milestones in the upcoming years.

As a Senior Analyst in the Compliance Department, my current tasks include supporting the team Leads and Senior Management for the Communication and Training Programme in precisely and concisely capturing the roles, responsibilities, and changes noted in the compliance section. Additionally, I negotiate contracts during bank-wide events, resulting in significant cost savings and sustainable relationships with suppliers.

My success in these negotiations depends on understanding suppliers' core competencies and competitive positioning. My ability to maintain transparency and uphold high ethical standards has helped build trust between suppliers and other stakeholders, which I believe is crucial in today’s business environment.

As part of the job shadowing strategy within the Compliance Monitoring and Reporting team, I had the opportunity to fill in the absence of the Senior Manager for the Communication and Training Programme.

At Foreign Bank relationships I used to Assist Higher Management concerning payment flows sending Swift messages and Executing the department's Payment Outward Routing Matrix System and related Reports, for accurate analysis. I am also knowledgeable of the regulatory requirements within and outside the bank. (The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and KYC compliance analytics).

When I was at ITSD as a Card System Administrator, I had different portals to communicate with since I handled different systems' releases which arose from different related testing scenarios.

I have grown inclined towards a team-oriented environment while exercising good communication skills with customers, whether internal or external consultants, for effective job continuity.

Senior Analyst – Governance and Ethics Compliance

  • The Compliance Training and Internal Communications Analyst role within the Monitoring and Reporting Section is a key role in the Compliance function in assisting the Communication and Training Programme Senior Analyst with the responsibility to capture in a clear, accurate and concise manner the roles, responsibilities and changes identified within the compliance section and then share this information through training sessions and different internal communication methods
  • Primary responsibilities for this role include assisting and supporting the Team leader in the identification of training requirements for the compliance teams, involvement in the training sessions of the wider bank to ensure that we instil a compliance culture while at the same time using different methods of internal communication methods to educate and bring up to date all employees with their respective roles and responsibilities from a compliance perspective
