  • Students began by studying works by Ferdinando Carulli, including two studies or preludes. They also worked on a study from either the Sor-Coste method or Sor's simpler studies. Additionally, they performed a study, prelude, waltz, or short composition by an author not previously covered, drawn from classical, romantic, or modern educational repertoire.
  • The course featured two dances or short, easy compositions from the Renaissance or Baroque periods, suitable for Renaissance or Baroque guitar, vihuela, lute, or similar instruments. To round out their training, students explored two contemporary studies or compositions, ensuring exposure to both historical and modern guitar music.
