My sales skills were build selling elevators and escalators to the chinese government.

My management and leadership skills come from becoming the director of a spanish company in shanghai.

During this process and my years spent in China my chinese became my second language.

  • I got promoted to Director of the China , with this new role I have to manage the sales team, engineering team in order to give the same vision and business context to both of the teams; I also represent the company in public events, business meetings etc
  • Moreover I keep a very tight relationship with the HQ in Spain in order to set the company goals and business strategies.

  • Nayar Systems entered the chinese market two years and half ago, as key account I had to build the company from scratch in China in order to open up the market which is the most challenging phase for a company that enters a new market.
  • I had to study a business model valid for the chinese market, had find and go to visit customers in order to promote Nayar Systems IoT solutions, do follow up, follow the installations on the site during the test and after sales phase and keep good relationships with the big companies I had to deal with
  • Each project was very specific so I had to control the supply chain in order to get the right material at the right time for each project
  • During this year of experience is managed to land two big contracts with Hangzhou Xinzailing IoT and Shenzhen Hanlinkeji IoT so that the company could start to walk by itself in a challenging market like China
  • I also directed the DB31 Standards project, a very useful project for the company so that it could be conform to the local IoT standards.

  • As customer manager I took care of the chinese customers reception (meeting room, show room, factory) and relationship in order to promote the Otis brand and products so that the customers could make the best choise for their project
  • I was always in contact with the local branches and agents in order to enhance my knowledge about a certain project in a certain area so I could understand better the customer situation (this makes a lot of difference when they come to visit the company because I already know all of the details about them); after the visit I had to report back the feedback to the local branch and this helps them a lot during the follow-up
  • This job requires flexibility, very good communication skills and a positive and motivating attitude with people, because business is made by people and sometimes knowing how to treat them is even more important than being professional
  • Giving every day the company and product introduction made me acquire a good knowledge of the Otis products and having the chance to interact with different clients, agents and sales manager gave me the chance understand better the elevator market in China
  • I got invited from branches to present the company in front of local government so I also acquired good public speaking skills in Chinese and English
  • This job was done entirely in Chinese.
