Exchange student in Minnesota, US (2019-2020)
Paced with an host family and attended high school at Harbor City International School in Duluth, Minnesota and then at Winona Senior High School in Winona, Minnesota. The exchange abroad has been a great opportunity of personal growth. I had the occasion to broaden my horizons and face a completely different reality from the one I was used to, leaving my "comfort zone". I have learned to know myself, to understand and accept my limits and my potential. I was hosted in a school reality very different from the Italian one, starting to appreciate its potential and analyze its weaknesses. I integrated my knowledge of the English language, managing to express and communicate with others, even delving into complex topics. I started to feel at home and love a country completely different from the one where I was born in and I built very strong and deep relationships with my host family and with my friends I met there in the States. The most important lesson that the United States taught me is that it all depends on you: if you want something to change, you have to work hard to make it happen!
