Currently based in Italy, I am fully open to relocate as this aligns with my professional and personal goals.
My Master's Thesis research focuses of gender inequalities in the workplace. It examines the historical evolution of the concept of gender equality, its legal application and the contribution of Marxist feminism, with regard to work as a tool for female emancipation. The impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the European and Italian labor market is discussed in order to investigate the persistent gender disparity. An increase in the employment rate is observed, but it is emphasized that this does not necessarily reflect an improvement in the working condition of women, who are often employed in precarious and part-time jobs. Additionally, the impacts of the pandemic on female labor force participation are highlighted with an increase in inactivity due to the disproportionate management between paid and unpaid work. The phenomenon of the “gender pay gap” is then analyzed, highlighting its causes and the need for targeted interventions to address it. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of investments in gender equality for socio-economic progress and for the building of a more equitable and inclusive society.
During my overseas study experience in Argentina, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of local feminist movements, including 'Ni Una Menos' in Buenos Aires. This allowed me to gain firsthand insight into the challenges and strategies for promoting women's rights in a context different from Europe.
Additionally, when I lived in London at the age of 17, I actively participated in geopolitical debates, further developing my analytical and critical thinking skills on international affairs from a young age.
