The project is based on a 3U cubesat pre-design for the 'Space system' exam at University Federico II of Naples. GRA-SAT (Green Roof Analysis) is a satellite designed to perform Earth Observation in VLEO, it use the TRISTEREO technique in order to have a Digital Surface Model of the cities observed to understand the feasability of green roofs installation. So it provides a tool that (based on selected parameters) allow to extimate where is more favourable to install Green Roofs. The project developing started for academical purposes, it was than developed in a more accurate way in ASI-CEF.
Me and my team have won the Nasa Space App Challenge Napoli in October 2024, presenting an environmental requalification project, which studies the environmental conditions for which certain typical Italian products are developed in some areas with the intention of being able to increase their production and development and be a support to producers and companies., Link: https://www.daccampania.com/it/ecco-i-vincitori-del-nasa-space-apps-challenge/#:~:text=Il team SG Engineers con il progetto,Teduccio%2C sabato 5 e domenica 6 ottobre.&text=Dal primo al terzo classificato i premi,1300 euro%2C 1000 euro e 700 euro.
The challenge was about the developing of an advanced serving platform. It enanched mostly team working and problem solving skills, other than techncal skills.
