I was scouted to work the newly built Orangery Cafe and coffee shop in the Drenagh gardens estate.
I was made Head of Coffee and am in charge of everything related to the coffee shop and often carrying out supervisor roles when required.
My duties include: managing the coffee supply stock, making coffee orders, maintaining the machine, picking up goods and occasionally managing the till including opening and closing the shop.
In charge of training new staff for coffee duties.
BARISTA
SEA SHED COFFEE & SURF
05.2022 - 09.2022
In the catering and tourism sector I took particular interest in a certain Coffee shop focusing on summer holidays in the beautiful coast of Northern Ireland offering customers unique coffee experience and leisure entertainment focused on water sports such as surfing and stand up paddle boarding.
As the shops were quite popular with international tourists, I offered help with my language skills helping guests feel welcomed, comfortable and informed, as well as acting as a translator during surf and paddle boarding lessons.
My job included rotating between three shops: Benone beach, Swans bridge and the newly opened Downhill shop where I was also in charge of the rentals of the surf equipment for tourists.
FRONT DESK EXECUTIVE
AGV MARMI & GRANITI
09.2021 - 06.2022
After a few months of training, I took on the role of Front Desk Executive in a fast paced industry, the marble industry. I took this chance to gain some experience close to home and the job has a variety of different tasks which made use of interpersonal and social skills too.
Daily tasks include answering the phone, attending to clients demands and registering their orders. Archive important documents and produce transport documents (national and international). Other tasks involve filing invoices and collaborating with the administrative office.
As the company had a number of international clients, I used my language skills to help the communication between client and supplier for orders and contracts.
COURSE AMBASSADOR
MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY LONDON
11.2019 - 06.2020
As a Course Ambassador, my responsibilities are to promote Middlesex University to prospective UG and PG students and inspire them ultimately to choose Middlesex, provide in-depth insight into the students' course of interest and what it is like to be a student at Middlesex. Complete assigned tasks from the team leader and be active on Unibuddy (student messaging platform for any enquiries for prospective students).
I have established positive relationships and provided a safe space for prospective students so that they could ask any questions and receive detailed and relevant information to aid their decision into enrolling into the university.
