Valeria Bianchi

At TICASS, I am primarily responsible for legislative and regulatory analysis related to circular economy projects. My work focuses on the interpretation and assessment of regulatory frameworks supporting resource recovery and waste valorisation. In particular, I have worked on the regulatory aspects concerning inorganic waste from shellfish farming, as well as on the recovery and reuse of agri-food by-products such as grape pomace and olive residues.

I also contribute to the European Interreg Maritime project P.Ri.S.Ma. MED 2, supporting the development of a cross-border Action Plan between France and Italy aimed at improving the recovery and management of inorganic fishing waste and promoting more sustainable marine practices.

During this engagement, my primary responsibility was to support the compilation and translation of documents related to the activities of the Sustainability, Ecological Transition, and Statistics Office. I also contributed to the organization and sustainability reporting for The Ocean Race – Genoa The Grand Finale, an international event focused on ocean preservation.

Additionally, I was involved in drafting the 'Operational Guidelines and Sustainability Requirements for Outdoor and Indoor Events,' aimed at promoting environmentally responsible event planning and management.
