  • Thesis work and internship in collaboration with Superior Institute of Sant'Anna in Pisa and the Institut Claude-Pompidou in Nice.
  • Implementation of a graphical user interface in PyCharm and a clinical protocol for IMU sensor acquisition applied to subjects with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's syndrome.
  • The aim was to have subjects perform Reach to Grasp motor tasks in social and individual contexts, performing signal processing in order to study the various stages of the disease, perform movement analysis, and validate new prevention and rehabilitation techniques.

  • Bioimaging - Bone tissue segmentation from CT images (Ap 2022 - Jun 2022, In collaboration with the Careggi Hospital Medical Company in Florence): Development on Spyder software of a neural network algorithm (2D U-NET) that from volumes acquired by CT technique segments the bone part by returning binary images (Teamwork).
  • Biomechatronics - Application development with STM32 microcontroller (Feb 2022 - May 2022): Programming an STM32 microcontroller in order to create applications such as data loggers, real-time signal processing, connectivity, etc (Teamwork).
  • BIOENGINEERING FOR NEUROSCIENCE - EYE GAZE AND PUPILLOMETRY ANALYSIS (May 2022 - Dec 2022): Analysis of Eye Gaze and Pupillometry in Matlab, using nonparametric statistical tests such as Kruskal-Wallis, on metrics extracted from Eye Tracking data (Teamwork).
  • Protocol for the validation of the Vacuum Bell medical device (Jun 2021 - Apr 2021 in collaboration with Meyer Children's Hospital): Three-year thesis work (bachelor's degree) aimed at providing a protocol for the validation and use of the Vacuum Bell device through testing on pediatric subjects with Pectus Excavatum pathology and through the use of statistical tests
