Mawa Mohamed holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Research, with a strong foundation in post-war recovery studies and international relations. Her academic pursuits are complemented by hands-on experience in conflict analysis, providing her with a multifaceted understanding of conflict dynamics. As a researcher, she aims to extend the boundaries of understanding conflict mediation and analysis, examining unheard human stories. She seeks to utilize her skills and passion to contribute significantly to research related to gender, children, and education. She is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, enriching the academic tapestry. She is a research fellow at the University of Milano-Bicocca, researching women's empowerment and reproductive health in Sub-Saharan Africa. She also teaches at the University of Khartoum. In the classroom, she ensures students actively engage in critical conversations, creating a collaborative environment that yields positive learning outcomes and a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Her main aim is to help her people through her research and contribute to developing a better Sudan for the next generation, where they can enjoy their lives and be happy and safe.
